PSC does not require Certificate of Equivalence if approved by Central and UGC
PSC decision to accept certificates of all educational institutions recognized by the Central Government, Parliament and UGC without producing a certificate of equivalence.
This will solve the problem of candidates seeking the Equivalency Certificate from the Universities of Kerala before applying for the PSC job. The PSC’s decision comes in the wake of the government’s proposal to address the issue.
The PSC recognizes the certificates of all major UGC accredited private universities, central universities, centrally recognized notional universities, IITs, ISARs and NITs. This also applies to the certificates of UGC accredited state universities. Certificates from all UGC-recognized institutions enacted by Parliament and the Legislature fall under this category.
